About Us
The Australian Chamber Ensemble was established by Melbourne-based Flautist Janine Hanrahan in 2007. The Ensemble performs the chamber music repertoire with an emphasis on accessible and diverse music from the 20th and 21st Centuries.
This flexible ensemble: ranging in size from trios to small chamber orchestra; combining winds, strings and percussion, has a strong commitment to performing and promoting works by Australian composers as the centrepiece of programs.
The ACE has, and will continue to, commission new works and is keen to hear from Australian composers with works suitable for the ensemble to perform.
